Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SkoolDev ("Operator", "we", "us", or "our") handles information for the Shweep mobile application ("App") and the Shweep website at shweep.lol (the "Website").

1. Overview

Shweep is designed to keep your activity on your device. The App processes and stores app-activity information locally. In the current version, SkoolDev does not automatically receive that information.

The App has:

• no Shweep account and no login
• no SkoolDev backend for session or gesture data
• no first-party analytics or advertising
• no automatic upload of session or gesture information

This policy separates (a) data processed on your device, (b) data you send us directly, and (c) data handled independently by Apple, Google, GitHub, or other services you choose to use.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally using your platform's app storage.

Completed sessions (shown in Sleepstory):

• a random session identifier
• session start timestamp and end timestamp
• number of sheep counted in the session
• a session end reason (for example, you exited the session or the App was away for a while)

Active session checkpoint (used to track and recover a session in progress):

• a random session identifier
• session start timestamp
• the time of your last successful sheep interaction
• current sheep count
• an optional timestamp recorded when the App enters the background

Preferences:

• your sheep color choice (white or black)
• whether you completed the initial sheep color selection

Sheep allowance data (only if a version enables a daily limit):

• a sheep usage count
• the start of the current allowance period

3. Temporary Interaction Processing

While a counting session is active, the App measures your touch interaction to control the grayscale visual effect. This includes:

• gesture type (a quick flick or a slower drag)
• gesture duration, upward distance, and speed
• whether a gesture was completed, failed, or cancelled
• recent swipe timing and the time since your last interaction
• a derived grayscale level

These detailed samples are held temporarily in memory. They are not added to Sleepstory, are not transmitted to SkoolDev, and are cleared when the session ends. The App does not use the gyroscope, accelerometer, microphone, camera, or other sensors to estimate sleep.

4. Sessions, Backgrounding, and Estimates

A session begins when you select "Go to sleep." The App updates a local checkpoint as you count sheep. If the App moves to the background, it records a local timestamp:

• if you return within about 10 seconds, the session resumes
• if you remain away for at least about 10 seconds, the session ends at the recorded background timestamp
• an interrupted session may be recovered and completed the next time you open the App

The App does not run a continuous background timer, does not monitor sensors in the background, and does not transmit data in the background.

"Time to sleep," "nights," and Sleepstory values describe time you spent in a Shweep counting session. They do not measure actual sleep duration and do not confirm when you fell asleep.

5. Purchases

Some versions of Shweep may offer an optional purchase, such as unlimited sheep, where displayed in the App. Purchases are available only when they appear in the App.

When a purchase is offered:

• Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes payment credentials and store-account information
• the App may receive product information, the localized price, purchase status, entitlement state, and transaction errors
• on Android, the App may receive a purchase token to acknowledge the transaction
• SkoolDev does not operate a purchase-verification server in the current implementation and does not collect payment details

6. Sharing and External Links

Sharing. The App's Share feature prepares a generic invitation message with Shweep store links. You choose whether and where to send it through your device's native share interface. Shweep does not read your contacts or message history and does not send messages on your behalf. The destination you choose may process the message and related metadata under its own privacy policy.

External links. Settings may open external pages in your browser, including GitHub Pages, GitHub, Google Play, the Apple App Store, Ko-fi, and support email. These services may receive normal browser, device, account, cookie, or payment information according to their own policies. When you follow an external link, you leave Shweep and the destination's privacy policy applies.

Ko-fi support. The App shows an optional "Support me on Ko-fi" button that opens ko-fi.com/skooldev in your browser. Shweep does not embed Ko-fi or load Ko-fi content inside the App, and the support action does not unlock any feature, sheep, or entitlement. If you contribute, Ko-fi and its payment providers process your information under the Ko-fi Privacy Policy. SkoolDev may receive the contribution details Ko-fi makes available to the page owner, such as supporter name, email address, amount, and any message. Shweep never sends your session history, gesture information, or Sleepstory data to Ko-fi.

7. What SkoolDev Does Not Receive

In the current version, the App does not automatically send SkoolDev your locally stored session history or detailed gesture samples. The App does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, does not require an account, and does not access your location, camera, microphone, or contacts. SkoolDev does not sell your local session data and does not use device identifiers for profiling.

The App does not continuously monitor or transmit data in the background. It may save a local session checkpoint and background timestamp when its lifecycle changes.

8. Device Backups and Transfers

Your operating system may include App data in device backups, restores, or device transfers:

• Android backup is enabled for the App
• iOS stores App data in a backup-eligible location

Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer control those backups under your device settings. Shweep does not provide its own cloud-sync service. Because platform backups may retain copies, App data can leave your device through these services even though Shweep itself does not upload it.

9. Retention and Deletion

Completed sessions are retained locally without automatic expiration, and there is currently no in-app control to delete session history. You can remove App data by clearing the App's storage (Android) or deleting the App (Android and iOS). Deleting the App may not immediately remove copies retained in platform backups. SkoolDev cannot remotely access or delete records stored on your device.

10. Communications

If you email contact@viktorarsovski.xyz, contact us on GitHub, or send a message with a Ko-fi contribution, you choose what information to provide. GitHub issues and discussions may be public, and Ko-fi contribution messages are handled by Ko-fi. We use correspondence to respond to your request and may retain it as reasonably necessary to answer you, keep records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations. You may ask us to delete correspondence we control, subject to applicable requirements.

11. Website Hosting

This Website is hosted on GitHub Pages at shweep.lol. The current Website uses no first-party analytics, forms, advertising, or scripts; it serves static files and links to GitHub and No Added Sugar. The No Added Sugar logo shown on the Website is hosted by Shweep, so simply loading the Website does not request anything from No Added Sugar; only clicking the attribution link does. GitHub may process information such as your IP address, browser type, and requested pages as described in GitHub's Privacy Statement.

12. Children's Privacy

Shweep does not provide an age-verification system and is not directed at young children. If you are a minor, use the App only with approval from a parent or guardian where required by your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not send us your session data, we generally cannot access or delete it. Parents or guardians with concerns may contact us at contact@viktorarsovski.xyz.

13. Your Choices and Rights

Your choices depend on where the information lives:

• App-local records: you control them through your device and can remove them by clearing App storage or deleting the App
• Communications you send us: you may request access or deletion of correspondence we control
• Platform and third-party records: Apple, Google, GitHub, and other services handle their own data under their policies

SkoolDev cannot remotely access, correct, or delete records stored on your device.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
