Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Shweep mobile application ("App") and the Shweep website at shweep.lol (the "Website"), operated by SkoolDev ("Operator", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. You should review these Terms periodically; the current version is always published on this page.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for users who can enter into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction. If you are a minor, use the App only with approval from a parent or guardian where required by your jurisdiction.

3. App Purpose

Shweep is a general wellness and entertainment application. It provides a sheep-counting interaction intended to help you wind down. Shweep is not a medical device, is not a sleep detector, and does not measure clinical or biometric data.

4. Grayscale and Sleepstory Estimates

During a counting session, the App may gradually reduce the color (saturation) of the scene based on your recent touch activity, swipe timing, and gesture quality. This grayscale effect is a visual behavior only. It does not determine whether you are asleep and does not use motion or biometric sensors.

Sleepstory shows session information such as the date, start time, elapsed counting-session time, and number of sheep counted. "Time to sleep" and "nights" are descriptive labels based on how long you used the App, not measured sleep duration or confirmed sleep onset.

5. Sessions and Local Storage

A session begins when you select "Go to sleep" and ends when you exit or when the App determines the session has ended. If the App moves to the background for at least about 10 seconds, the session is recorded using the time the App entered the background. An interrupted session may be completed on the next launch.

Session records and preferences are stored locally on your device and may be included in platform backups or device transfers. Completed sessions are retained without automatic expiration, and there is currently no in-app control to delete session history. You can remove App data by clearing the App's storage (Android) or deleting the App.

6. Daily Limits

Some versions of Shweep may apply a locally calculated sheep allowance. Any limit, reset time, or related purchase option will be shown in the App when enabled. If no allowance is shown, you can count sheep without a daily limit.

7. Purchases

Optional purchases, if offered, are available only when displayed in the App and are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play):

• prices, taxes, and billing are determined and handled by the applicable store
• an entitlement is platform-specific and applies to the store account used for the purchase
• restoration requires the same platform store account; Android purchases cannot be restored through Apple, and Apple purchases cannot be restored through Google
• refunds, revocations, pending transactions, family sharing, and billing disputes are governed by the applicable store's policies
• functionality tied to a purchase may depend on store availability and network access

Voluntary contributions through Ko-fi are optional tips that support development. They do not purchase sheep, do not grant any in-app entitlement, and do not affect feature availability. Ko-fi and its payment providers process contributions under the Ko-fi Terms and Ko-fi Privacy Policy, including any refund requests. 8. Health Disclaimer

The App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or sleep disorder. Content in the App, including the grayscale effect and Sleepstory estimates, is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on Shweep for sleep diagnosis or medical decisions, and do not use it as an emergency service. If you have a sleep-related condition or health concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

9. Sharing and Third-Party Services

The App's Share feature prepares a generic Shweep invitation message with store links. You choose whether and where to share it through your device's native share interface. Destination applications control delivery and data handling. The App may also open external pages such as GitHub Pages, GitHub, Google Play, the Apple App Store, Ko-fi, or No Added Sugar. These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control their availability, security, or content.

The App displays a "Support me on Ko-fi" button that links to ko-fi.com/skooldev. That link is external; clicking it takes you to a service we do not operate, and any contribution you choose to make is a voluntary tip rather than payment for the App or any feature.

The Website displays a "Powered by No Added Sugar" attribution that links to noaddedsugar.dev. That link is external; clicking it takes you to a service we do not operate.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose
• remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
• infringe our or our licensors' intellectual property rights
• interfere with the App's normal operation or another user's use of it
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where permitted by applicable law or an applicable open-source license

11. Intellectual Property and Open Source

The App, including its design, graphics, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of SkoolDev or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Shweep branding and artwork are not licensed under the open-source license. Third-party marks such as Ko-fi and No Added Sugar remain the property of their respective owners and are used for attribution or to link to those services only.

Source code that is published under the MIT License remains governed by that license, and nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted under it.

12. Availability and Updates

Features may differ by platform and app version. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the App or Website at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the latest version will be published on this page with a revised date, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkoolDev and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of North Macedonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of North Macedonia.
